Yesterday I spent some time catching up on the new HBO series Game of Thrones (airs Sundays). It's based on George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series which has been on my must-read list for years, but I've never had a chance to pick it up. The show is only two episodes in and I'm already addicted. Intriguing plot. Check. Engaging characters, check. Spectacular costumes/sets, check. Violent sword play, check. It's good to have a promising fantasy series on TV again! I need to get a move on reading those books!
